ABOUT

This 3-day safari takes you to Amboseli National Park, at the foot of Mt Kilimanjaro. Amboseli Nat. Park, a scenic and breathe taking destination with Mt. Kilimanjaro on your door step. The park is famous for its big herds of elephants and great scenic beauty.

In case of Emergency, every one of our clients gets a free cover with AMREF Flying Doctors Evacuation service for the duration of the safari. In case of an accident or medical emergency, AMREF Flying Doctors will evacuate the injured or patient to a reputable hospital in Nairobi. This service though covers only rescue hence we recommend that you arrange for the necessary Travel/Medical Insurance at your home country before commencing your travel to Africa.

TRAVEL PLAN

Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park

On Arrival, you will be met and welcomed at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by our guide, after briefing depart drive to Amboseli N.P, arriving Amboseli Nat. Park in time for lunch. This park is especially known for its prolific elephant population, and the magnificent Mount Kilimanjaro setting. It is a home for the wet land birds since the park is dominated by swamps. Day 2: Full day in Amboseli National Park

Full day in Amboseli with game drives at 0630 hrs and 1600 hrs. Amboseli National Park, at the foot of Africa’s highest mountain, Kilimanjaro, is one of Kenya’s most popular national parks. It lies 150 miles south-east of Nairobi, very close to the Tanzania border. The snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro rising above the clouds dominates every aspect of Amboseli. Day 3: Amboseli Nat. Park- Nairobi

An early morning wake up call for a pre breakfast game drive, and since you’ll be sleeping in an environment of thousands of birds; the sweet melodies from the many different species of birds will cater for that wakeup call. After a hearty breakfast say goodbye to your host and have a scenic drive to Nairobi.

Amboseli Serena Lodge

A quality lodge in Amboseli National park, a park known for it’s views of Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain. The lodge’s design itself draws on Maasai cultural motifs, featuring natural woodcarvings, traditional artefacts and a selection of colorful local art. Constructed from ecologically friendly materials, its design reflect the true essence of the African bush. This helps it blend into the landscape and work in harmony with the natural environment.

Sentrim Amboseli Camp

Sentrim Amboseli’s location deep inside the reserve guarantees close encounters with the park’s renowned elephants. Also happily roaming the grasslands are buffalos, wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, impalas and several predators, ie Lions, Cheetahs and Hyenas.

The camp is located 280 kilometers south of Nairobi and 260 kilometers north of Mombasa. During the wet season, the rains flood the lake bed and the surrounding area. This luxurious tented lodge offers 60 modern tents with secluded verandas and a private view onto Mt. Kilimanjaro. The spacious tents boast the very latest in luxury camping with soft beds, an en suite bathroom with a steaming hot shower.
The tent contains a coffee and tea making facility, fridge, fan, hair drier, electronic safe deposit boxes, open air lounge area. The camp has a free form swimming pool with sunbathing terrace, reliable 240-volt generator electricity supply, camp bookshop, guest laundry, room service, spa and a souvenir boutique.
The bathroom also offers a washbasin and flush toilets.
