This safari features some of the Kenya’s most popular most popular Bird watching destinations that will take 6 days/5 nights and then to the popular game parks and sanctuaries. The Safari starts at the legendary land of L.Naivasha; This Park is famous for its natural steaming geysers and a haven for birdwatchers. The walking/ hiking give one sense of freedom, open space and a clear view of wildlife. The cliffs are breeding grounds for vultures, Verreaux’s eagles, Augur buzzards and thousands of swifts. Over 120 species have been recorded here. Then to L. Nakuru National Park; In addition to the bird population of flamingos that carpet the lake, the Park has a fair share of wildlife including the endangered species such as black rhinos, Rothschild Giraffe and the Columbus monkeys. Finally Enjoy a visit to Maasai Mara Game Reserve, “Jewel in the crown of Kenya’s tourism industry” is known for its big wildlife concentration all the year round, the Lions, Elephants, Rhinos, Leopards and Buffalos and not forgetting the Big Cats.
Accommodation in this safari can be a combination of lodge and semi luxury camps on request.

TRAVEL PLAN
Day 1: Nairobi-Lake Naivasha
From our Nairobi hotel, we depart for Lake Naivasha. A couple of stops en-route for the stunning view points of the Rift Valley. We arrive at Lake Naivasha by mid-morning for a bird-walk before lunch. Lunch at the Lodge/camp. Lake Naivasha being close to Nairobi (100 km) makes it a comfortable weekend-resort for professional and amateur bird-watchers. It was declared a bird sanctuary in 1967. Ospreys, Fish Eagles, Herons, and Lily-Trotters will be seen here. We later visit Elsa Mere Centre to relive the experience of Joy Adamson’s “Born Free”. Over 450 species have been recorded here. Day 2: Lake Naivasha (Hells Gate) National Park
After a hearty breakfast, take a boat ride to the crescent island in Lake Naivasha, where you will have a guided 3hrs walking safari. This is one of the few places in all Africa where you can wander on foot among herds of zebras, wildebeest, and giraffes with no predators and fences.
Later, on boat, explore the lakeshores where you will spot wet-land birds such as the Cormorants, Herons, Pelicans etc. Return to the Lodge/camp for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a visit to the famous nearby Hell’s Gate National Park. This park is famous for its natural steaming geysers and a haven for birdwatchers. Day 3: Lake Naivasha(Hells Gate) National Park -Lake Nakuru National Park
Break early in the morning after breakfast proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park to arrive in time for a mid morning game drive. Check in at the Lodge/camp in time for lunch. This is a shallow soda lake hosting thousands of pink flamingos, a number of other birds. [Another ornithological paradise]. This is another lake in the rift valley and a bird watchers paradise; it has over 460 recorded bird species and home to many species of game found in the park including the introduced Rothschild’s giraffe, black and white rhino, waterbuck, reedbuck, lion, buffalo, leopard, baboon and many species of plains game, enjoy an afternoon game-drive. Day 4: Lake Nakuru National Park -Masai Mara Game Reserve
After breakfast, depart your Lodge/camp and drive along the floor the Rift Valley before mounting its western rim into Masai land. Red-clad, with spears always on hand, Masai warriors tend their herds of cattle among the wildlife, commendably unmoved by the presence of large predators. Afternoon you have a game drive in search of wildlife. You will have a chance to compare notes as you sort out the various bird species that you add to your list. Like Nakuru, Mara has a good share of the ornithological paradise. Maasai Mara is probably the best-known game reserve. Dinner and Overnight at the Mara Sopa Lodge. Meal Plan: {FB}
Day 5: Full day in Masai Mara Game reserve
Take an extensive full day game drive in the reserve covered with rolling grasslands dotted with acacia and hazy forested hills and riverline bush where the Mara River and its tributaries meander, Large numbers of pale arctic migrants will be recorded e.g. Caspian Plovers and White Storks and local species such as Rock Cisticola, Yellow Bellied Hyliota, Pale Wren Warbler etc.
Masai Mara is considered by many to be Kenya’s finest game reserve, the 1510 sq Kms of this reserve adjoin Tanzania’s well-known Serengeti, forming one eco-system. The open rolling Savannah grassland of the Mara is the home of numerous wildlife species including elephant, rhino, lion, cheetah, leopard, hyena, jackal, buffalo, eland, topis, impala, gazelle, warthog and zebra. a full day game drive with picnic lunch at the hippo pool on the banks of the Mara River were the crossing of the Gnus [wildebeests] takes place while the killer crocodiles awaits. Day 6: Masai Mara Game reserve – Nairobi
Have an early breakfast before exploring another different area of this park, this is to capture the early morning actions, return to the Lodge/camp for lunch, check out after lunch and depart for Nairobi arriving in the evening.
